I was packing my lunch for school in the kitchen, when I heard a strange, scratching noise coming from the fridge. So I decided to investigate.
My heart was racing and I felt my stomach churning, as I walked closer. I’m not going to lie I was pretty scared.
As I opened the door a jam jar smashed; scattering shards of glass and blobs of jam everywhere, that’s when I saw him. The purple and green, spotty alien I saw a couple days ago at the park, the one that stole my brand new scarf.
“Hi,” he chirped sweetly, while opening a pack of cheese.
“I was going to use that for my lu-” I started to say but I was too late, he had gobbled the whole block of cheese up- the packaging too.
He exclaimed, “YUMMY,” while licking his lips and taking a big, nasty burp!
The cheeky alien looked in all the cupboards, until he found the pots and pans one. He took them all out and started to make a huge racket.
“AAAAAHHHHH you are breaking all the pots and pans and giving me a headache,” I screamed at the top of my voice hoping he would stop.
There was a long silence that seemed like it lasted forever. Then the strange alien moved again, I could see his gigantic, wobbly belly wobble like a big bowl of jelly, he was heading towards the fridge.
“THIRSTY, NOW” he announced then he took the mixed berry juice- my favourite- out of the fridge and started drinking it.
Some missed: bounced off his purple belly and pooled round his small, duck-like feet, as he covered himself with it, it took away his horrible smell (he used to smell like rotten fish)!
“How come I can understand you?” I asked very curious of why.
“I can understand you, because I learnt your language, it wasn’t hard,” the creature replied, while he looked for a place to put the empty carton.
“Why did you come to me,” I asked, wondering why out of everyone in this world he picked me.
“I came to you, because you looked kind and friendly,” he replied, finally finding a bin and was putting the empty carton in to it.
I looked at my watch.
“I need to go now, I’m going to be late for school,” I said picking up my school bag and taking my half-made lunch of the side.
“Maybe see you tomorrow, after school at the chip shop” I asked?
“Hmmm, I do like chips and your’ e my friend, so yes,” he said “see you tomorrow, BYE!
And with that, he climbed out of the window and I started my journey to school. What a day I thought to myself, as I walked to school (very unusual).
