Last summer when I was on holiday in Spain the scariest thing happened to me. It all started when we got to our hotel room in Spain, we were told it was a luxurious hotel [5 star] but when we got there it was filthy and smelt like rotten eggs. We were all too tired from all the hours in the airport to complain about the room so we all slept for a night in the dirty, cold room. That night was probably the worst night in my life, the beds were hard, the room was cold and I had bad feeling that something horrible was going to happen.
Hours had passed and I still had that feeling that something bad was going to happen, I had just fell asleep when I heard my brother screaming and crying, I went to see my brother and he told me he had seen an old lady walking across the corridor, “she was pale and had her hair tied up in a bun” my brother said his voice trembling. None of us got any sleep that night, we were all really tired as we ate our breakfast then we went to the reception to complain.
We complained but it was no use all they said was that we were making everything up so for the rest of our holiday we had to stay in the horrible hotel.
Most of the day we tried to avoid going in to the hotel, we did this for the rest of our holiday- which meant two weeks outside getting sun burnt- this strategy worked because we didn’t see the strange ghost lady until the last night of our holiday.
Me and my three siblings Eloise, Harry and Jude were drawing in the living room while our parents were cooking dinner in the kitchen when I felt a sudden chill up my spine my siblings felt it too, a horrible smell came up and suddenly the lights started flickering. Our parents came into the room with their faces full of fear, our mum took us into the kitchen while my stepdad looked what was going on he was getting more and more scared until he saw her. The ghost lady my brother saw at the start of the holiday.
The ghost lady was getting closer and closer to my stepdad and then through him!!! At that moment he shouted “let’s get out of here” we ran out of the room, out of the hotel –the ghost chasing after us- and into the car. My mum started the engine and drove off as fast as she possibly could.
When we were at the airport we told some police officers there about the horrible hotel and they said they would sue them and give our money back. We got home safely and then started living life normally again and not getting scared that a ghost was going to get us also to this very day I’ve never seen her again and I hope I’ll never will.
